One Dead In Roslindale Shooting

ROSLINDALE (CBS) – A 35-year-old man was shot and killed on Paine Street in Roslindale Friday night, just minutes from the police station.

It's the same area officers responded for a . One person died in that incident.

Neighbors said they heard gunshots outside their homes.

"I was sleeping but my kids heard like five shots," one neighbor told WBZ-TV.

A K-9 unit was called in to help search the scene of the Paine Street shooting as officers combed the area for evidence.

Part of the road was blocked off after the Saturday shooting.

On Saturday, police identified the victim in Thursday's shooting as 44-year-old Pasqual Casiano of Jamaica Plain.

Police are still searching for suspects in both shootings.

"We need your help in these investigations," Boston Police Commissioner William Gross said. "One homicide is too much. This isn't indicative of our great neighborhoods."

Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call Boston Police.
