First West Nile Virus-related death reported in Illinois

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health reported the first West Nile Virus death of the year.

The person was said to be in their 90s and lived in suburban Cook County.

Their symptoms of West Nile Virus began earlier this month.

So far, there have been 11 non-deadly cases of the virus in Illinois this year.
