Gov. Dayton Orders Flags At Half-Staff For Boston Victims

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO/AP) -- To honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, Gov. Mark Dayton has ordered all flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in Minnesota.

Dayton signed the proclamation Tuesday "as a sign of respect for the victims of the terrible act of violence that was committed against innocent men, women, and children in Boston, Massachusetts," the press release said.

Flags will be at half-staff until sunset on Saturday.

Earlier Tuesday, President Barack Obama ordered flags at the White House and all government buildings to be flown at half-staff in honor of the Boston Marathon explosion victims.

Three people were killed, including an 8-year-old boy, and more than 170 were wounded in Monday's bombing at the marathon's finish line.
