Nakell Williams is an accomplished broadcast journalist with CBS News Atlanta, delivering in-depth, impactful reporting on the issues shaping South Fulton and other communities across the region.

With experience spanning multiple media markets, she has held key on-air roles, including main anchor at WCOV FOX 20 in Montgomery, Alabama, and WAAY-TV 31 in Huntsville, Alabama. There, she earned the Alabama Broadcaster Association's Judges Merit Award which recognized her outstanding work in journalism. Nakell also served as news anchor at WGXA FOX24/ABC16 in Macon, Georgia, as well as WFXL in Albany, Georgia. Her reporting background also includes WRIC 8News in Richmond, Virginia, bureau chief at WABI in Bangor, Maine, and reporter and anchor for News 51 in Charleston, Illinois.

In addition to her work in the newsroom, Nakell brings a strong foundation in public relations and strategic communications. Her expertise has been recognized by the New Jersey School Public Relations Association, earning both Gold and Silver Communications Awards for excellence in print and electronic publications, as well as marketing, branding, and image management.

Nakell has led and supported high-profile community outreach initiatives centered on education, youth advocacy, and public awareness. Her work includes partnerships with the Quinton Aaron Foundation to promote anti-bullying and childhood obesity awareness, as well as a major collaboration with The Wendy Williams Show to provide educational resources to underprivileged youth in Asbury Park, New Jersey. She also served as a spokesperson for one of New Jersey's highest-performing educational institutions.

Her professional experience extends into public service, where she supported gubernatorial administrations on both sides of the aisle in New York and Georgia on issues including community and economic development and environmental conservation. In these roles, she managed programs aimed at reducing social and economic barriers and improving quality of life for underserved communities.

Committed to service beyond the newsroom, Nakell volunteers with organizations that combat domestic violence and advocate for the empowerment of women and children. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a global organization rooted in scholarship, leadership, and service.
